Research Direction

The laboratory addresses the urgent need for high-performance tools in national key areas such as aerospace, integrated circuits, industrial mother machines, and land and sea transportation. Focusing on solving major scientific problems such as "the cutting and grinding mechanism of extremely demanding/difficult-to-machine materials, and the forward design-stable manufacturing-precise evaluation methods of high-performance tools," four research directions are established for five major fields. The goal is to develop efficient, precise, highly reliable, intelligent, and green high-end tools, achieving technological self-reliance and control, empowering new productivity, and serving national major strategies.
